RALEIGH (August 31, 2016) – Targeted Persuasion has expanded its hospitality public affairs initiative in Asheville, NC. The firm has already been running the program in Raleigh and was chosen to direct the expansion into Asheville, too.

“We’re thrilled to be able to take this advocacy program to Asheville,” said Targeted Persuasion founder and partner Jeff Tippett. “We have made a real impact in changing the perception of the restaurant industry in the eyes of the public and elected officials in Raleigh, and we can’t wait to see what value we can bring to the hospitality community in Asheville.”

The advocacy program establishes a strong working group of informed, active and motivated members in the restaurant community to be credible advocates and faces of the industry before policymakers, opinion leaders, community organizations and the general public. Targeted Persuasion has advanced this mission in Raleigh by hosting events like a Women’s History Month appreciation party, a town hall on ABC issues and a training on how to prepare for and respond to an active shooter situation. This initiative has also facilitated a dialogue between restaurateurs and elected officials as well as with other community groups.
